Bloomberg is claiming to have well-placed sources telling them Russia and China have engaged in secret talks with Yemen’s Houthis. The source claims representatives of China and Russia met with a high-ranking Houthi leader, Mohammed Abdel Salam, in Oman and reached a deal that assures Russia and China their vessels will not be attacked in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Oman. Donald Asher, a senior fellow at Hudson Institute, was quoted in the Bloomberg report, saying, “China and Russia are deepening their strategic alliance with Iranian-backed terrorists. It’s a further sign of an emerging new world disorder that threatens freedom of navigation, commerce, transit, and communications. No one should doubt that Putin and Xi are increasingly coordinating their moves with Tehran while the US embraces appeasement, including via releasing billions of dollars to the Iranians with no substantive result to American interests, power, and prestige.” Excerpt from oilprice.com According to Bloomberg’s sources, Russia and China have sealed a deal with Iran-backed Houthis to allow their commercial vessels to transit the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden without fear of drone and or missile attacks. One of the sources said China and Russia reached a deal with diplomats in Oman with Mohammed Abdel Salam, one of the Houthis’ top political leaders. They said the safe passage of vessels is in exchange for the Houthis’ political support at the United Nations Security Council.
Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey (R) has begun a process that he hopes will lead to criminal prosecution of Media Matters, which, he alleges, is committing fraud against Missouri citizens it convinces to contribute funds to the DNC agitprop and content marketing firm. Bailey exclaimed, “Media Matters has used fraud to solicit donations from Missourians in order to trick advertisers into removing their advertisements from X, formerly Twitter, one of the last platforms dedicated to free speech in America. Media Matters has pursued an activist agenda in its attempt to destroy X because they cannot control it.” Excerpt from thenationalpulse.com Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey (R) is asking a state court to enforce a civil investigative demand as part of his investigation into potential advertising fraud committed by the left-wing non-profit Media Matters for America in a campaign against Elon Musk’s X (formerly Twitter). The civil investigative demand — which functions similarly to a subpoena — would clear the way for Bailey to investigate the Democrat-aligned non-profit for potential violations of the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act. “Media Matters has used fraud to solicit donations from Missourians in order to trick advertisers into removing their advertisements from X, formerly Twitter, one of the last platforms dedicated to free speech in America,” wrote the Missouri Attorney General in the court filing. He added: “Media Matters has pursued an activist agenda in its attempt to destroy X because they cannot control it.” The Missouri Merchandising Practice Act covers “any deception, fraud, false pretense, false promise, misrepresentation, unfair practice or the concealment, suppression, or omission of any material fact” used by non-profit groups to solicit monetary contributions from state residents. Bailey’s office alleges that Media Matters for America engaged “through coordinated, inauthentic behavior” in a campaign to “defame the organization [X] and cause advertisers to pull their support from the platform, thus harming free speech.” He additionally alleges the group used their campaign to raise money from Missouri residents under false pretenses.
Dell Technologies have announced another round of job cuts in an effort to reduce overall costs. This time, the tech giant cut 6,000 jobs, reducing their total number of employees to 120,000. This news follows disappointing earnings reports in the last quarter of 2023, which showed the company saw an 11 percent reduction in total revenue. Excerpt from www.businesstoday.in Dell Technologies has reduced its workforce for the second time in two years, with a recent cut of about 6,000 employees. The company now has nearly 120,000 employees, compared to 126,000 a year earlier. This reduction is part of Dell’s broader cost-cutting initiative, which includes limiting external hiring and employee reorganizations. The company’s decision follows a period of sluggish demand for personal computers, contributing to an 11 per cent drop in revenue in the fourth quarter of last year. Despite the challenges, Dell expects net revenue in its Client Solutions Group to grow this year, although it anticipates rising input costs and ongoing reduction of other businesses’ net revenue due to changes in its relationship with VMware. In addition, Dell has introduced a new return-to-office policy, classifying workers as ‘hybrid’ or ‘remote’, with remote employees not being considered for promotions or role changes within the company.
The Mexican government has chosen to attempt to shake down the American government, threatening to keep the illegal immigrant flood coming across our border if we don’t bend our knee, pay up, and change our foreign policy to one the Mexican government approves of. Mexico’s President, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has exposed the fact that Mexico can help the U.S. stop the illegal immigrant invasion anytime it wants but chooses not to until we pay $20 billion a year to Latin American countries, lift Venezuelan sanctions, end the Cuban embargo, and give amnesty to all the Mexicans already illegally here. He made it clear this was a shakedown when he said failure to comply would mean “the flow of migrants will continue.” Excerpt from www.thegatewaypundit.com Demands $20 billion a year, amnesty, sanctions lifted The president of Mexico, in an interview, has confirmed what essentially appears to be his attempt to blackmail the United States into paying billions of dollars, or else the “flow of migrants will continue.” A report at Fox News reveals that Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador earlier demanded a series of actions by the United States in order for him to try to cut off some of the millions of illegal aliens coming from Mexico into the United States across its southern border. Then just days ago, he said in an appearance on 60 Minutes that if the U.S. fails to meet his demands, “The flow of migrants will continue.” The report said Obrador, in recent weeks, has demanded that the U.S. give $20 billion a year to Latin American nations, lift sanctions on Venezuela, end the Cuban embargo and give legal status in America to the millions of Mexicans who already have entered illegally.
Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) signed a bill this week that officially bans 14-year olds from using social media. It will also require anyone who wants to go online to scan their ID in order to do so. A third party must be used for this verification process to allegedly maintain the user’s anonymity online. DeSantis said of the signing, “It is important to protect children from the harms associated with social networking, as well as support the rights of parents and maintain the ability of adults to engage in anonymous speech.” The bill is expected to be challenged by both left and right activist groups who will challenge the law’s constitutionality. Excerpt from amp.marca.com Florida Governor Ron de Santis signed a law prohibiting minors from opening social media profiles, however, this is only a small part of the HB3 law that will require anyone who wants to go online to scan their ID. The HB3 Law establishes that technology companies, such as X and Meta, will mainly establish strict controls to prevent minors under 14 years of age from having an account on social media platforms.
The U.S. Justice Department indicted seven Chinese state-sponsored hackers, charging them for running a 14-year-long campaign that worked to discredit voices from politicians to business owners while bolstering pro-CCP voices. The UK moved to sanction the hackers and the company they worked for, accusing them and their company of hacking into accounts of UK parliamentarians and their electoral commission system. Attorney General Merrick Garland stated, “The Justice Department will not tolerate efforts by the Chinese government to intimidate Americans who serve the public, silence the dissidents who are protected by American laws, or steal from American businesses. This case serves as a reminder of the ends to which the Chinese government is willing to go to target and intimidate its critics, including launching malicious cyber operations aimed at threatening the national security of the United States and our allies.” Excerpt from www.washingtonpost.com The Justice Department on Monday unsealed an indictment charging seven Chinese state-sponsored hackers with a broad 14-year campaign to target U.S. and foreign critics, businesses and political officials to advance Beijing’s economic espionage and political spying goals. In tandem, the Treasury Department announced sanctions on two of the hackers and a front company for their roles in breaching U.S. critical infrastructure, including in the defense and energy sectors. The British government joined the Biden administration on Monday in sanctioning the hackers and company for targeting parliamentarians and U.K. electoral commission systems between 2021 and 2022. The government also summoned the Chinese ambassador to Britain, officials in London said. The two allies are seeking to send a strong message to Beijing that malicious cyber activities that endanger national security and seek to repress dissidents abroad are unacceptable and violate international norms, U.S. and British officials said.
American corporation Apple Inc hopes China’s Baidu will help the company design AI tools the Chinese Communist Party is sure to support. The company also sent their CEO, Tim Cook, to Beijing to seek favor with the CCP in an effort to pump flagging China iPhone sales. So far, no American politician has expressed any concern in this partnership, just as they continue to vote for and support entanglement with a nation whose ideological leaders are committed to destroying the American republic, a goal shared by America’s corporate elites and their political dance partner, the DNC. Excerpt from news.abplive.com Apple’s aspirations for AI in its upcoming iOS release are widely known. Speculation has been rife about potential collaborations to integrate generative AI into the iPhone. Recent reports suggest that Apple is exploring various avenues to secure top-notch AI models. News emerged this week indicating discussions between Apple and Google regarding the licensing of Google’s impressive Gemini AI for future iOS 18 functionalities. Additionally, Apple has engaged in talks with OpenAI regarding the integration of their widely acclaimed ChatGPT technology. However, the latest development reveals Apple’s interest in an AI partnership within China. The Wall Street Journal reported that Apple has been in talks with Baidu to leverage the Chinese tech giant’s AI models. This potential collaboration would enable Apple to offer AI capabilities to its Chinese customers while complying with local regulations mandating official approval for AI systems. Unlike global heavyweights such as Google’s Gemini and OpenAI’s ChatGPT, which are absent in China due to censorship, over 40 domestic AI models have received government approval. Among these is Baidu’s highly acclaimed ErnieBot.
Plans by Walt Disney, Warner, and Fox to create a combined sports media Empire may not get off the ground judging by the NFL’s initial reaction to the proposed merger. NFL chief media and business officer Brian Rolapp expressed skepticism the merger would work out for the fans. He stated, “They’re positioning it as the ultimate sports bundle, but it’s missing more than half of NFL football. I’m a bit confused personally by the value proposition… I don’t understand how a sports fan is going to look at that and say that’s a better value than, say, for $20 more a month, I could buy YouTube TV and have all of the NFL and then actually have access to Sunday Ticket, which is our out-of-market package on Sunday afternoons.” Excerpt from insidethemagic.net The NFL is not impressed with the Walt Disney Company’s plans to team up with Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery for a world-dominating sports streaming app, and it is just coming right out and saying it. … The anticipation of this new streaming service is being undercut by the NFL itself, the single largest and most-watched sports league in the United States. While Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery are all huge companies with a lot of sway with audiences, their joint foray into sports content will find it hard to latch onto subscribers if it doesn’t have the NFL behind it. At the recent Washington Post Live Futurist Summit, NFL chief media and business officer Brian Rolapp spoke out against the upcoming Disney-Fox-Warner sports content service, dismissing what appeal it could have to fans. He said, “They’re positioning it as the ultimate sports bundle, but it’s missing more than half of NFL football. I’m a bit confused personally by the value proposition.”
Does Rino Representative Mike Gallagher (R-WI) want to make sure the DNC regains a majority in the U.S. House? His decision to resign specifically on April 19th seems to indicate that’s just what he’s hoping for. He appears to be waiting long enough to not allow a special election to replace him before the November 2024 election. His announcement means the Republicans now hold a slim one-vote majority over the anti-American party, the DNC. Marjorie Taylor Greene has called on the GOP to oust Gallagher from the House immediately to avoid having to wait to November to replace him with what would presumably be another Republican. Excerpt from www.washingtonexaminer.com Rep. Mike Gallagher’s (R-WI) departure from the House on April 19 throws a wrench in the GOP’s small House majority because the date means the seat will be empty for the remainder of the term. Gallagher, who serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said he would not seek reelection in February, but his decision to leave early has prompted backlash because his replacement will not be elected until November. “I’m disappointed. I think he should have finished out his term,” former Republican state Sen. Roger Roth, who declared his candidacy for Gallagher’s seat in February, told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “I think it’s unfortunate because it leaves a vacancy in Congress at, obviously, what could be a critical time.” His departure also leaves House Republicans with just a one-vote majority, setting up another hurdle in the party’s hopes of getting any meaningful legislation passed this Congress because it means only two Republicans need to vote against legislation to stop it from advancing. Excerpt from thehill.com Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) called on Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on Sunday to push for Rep. Mike Gallagher’s (R-Wis.) expulsion from Congress ahead of his scheduled departure next month to allow his district time to select a new representative. Gallagher, the chair of the House Select Committee on China, announced last month that he would not seek reelection. On Friday, however, he said his last day would be April 19. His scheduled departure date would leave the House GOP conference with a decidedly slim majority, perhaps for the remainder of the year; Wisconsin election law requires a special election to fill a vacancy if it occurs before the first Tuesday in April of an election year.
Numerous people, including a construction work crew, are missing after the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed. The bridge was struck by a large cargo ship that may have suffered a catastrophic power failure which prevented it from avoiding striking a main support of the bridge. The incident has effectively cut Baltimore harbor off from global shipping traffic and is already causing major traffic congestion as motorists look for alternative routes now that the bridge is gone. The cargo ship, the Dali, is registered with Singapore but chartered by Danish shipping giant Maersk. Excerpt from www.cbsnews.com The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore collapsed early Tuesday after a column was hit by a large container ship, sending an unknown number of vehicles and people into the Patapsco River, authorities said. CNN reported that that the Baltimore City Fire Department’s communications director, Kevin Cartwright, said as many as 20 people and multiple vehicles were in the water. Earlier, the department told CBS News that at about 1:30 a.m., 911 calls started coming in saying a vessel had hit a bridge column. It was unclear how many vehicles were on the span but “there was surely a large tractor-trailer” on it. “There are at least seven people” in the river and “the dive and rescue team has arrived on scene to locate the individuals.” The department described the collapse as “a mass casualty event.”
